Assist with advocacy, communications and marketing for this 25-year-old association representing the luxury condo community of Brickell in the heart of metropolitan Miami. Projects include 2015 Candidates Forum, a public school expansion initiative and special events for community building.

America SCORES Miami

August 2006 - December 2008

Founding Executive Director of a new, nationally affiliated non-profit youth development organization which provides afterschool programs for at-risk youth in soccer, literacy and service-learning. Responsible for all phases of start-up of the program, including fundraising, program planning, managing, hiring staff and overseeing all the activities of Miami SCORES and its employees.

  • Program engaged 120 elementary age children and eight teacher-coaches across four
    low-income public schools annually.
  • Wrote all grants, policies and procedures for the new operation.
  • Recruited, trained and developed board of volunteers and volunteer supporters.
